GENERAL INFORMATION

WHAT IS YOUR ADDRESS & LOCATION?

Our Address is:

91 Cochranes Road, Moorabbin Vic, Australia. 3189                                                                                                                                             

Our studios are located at the front of Deluxe Rehearsal Studios.

WHAT ARE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS

Our hours are 9am-6pm every day. We continue to take calls and book sessions after hours until 10pm. We are technically a 24/7 studio as we have engineers who run sessions at all hours of the day and night. However, our Studio Sessions are booked upon appointment only.

I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET HOLD OF SOMEONE?

The best way to have your questions answered is to give us a call at 0417 576 460  during the hours of 9am-10pm, daily. If you’re unable to call, you can always fill out our “General Inquiries” form on the Contact Us page and we will get back to you within 24 hours. Or you can email us at info@orangemusicgroup.com.au

WHERE ARE THE CLOSEST TRAIN STATIONS & BUS STOPS?

Oakleigh Train station is 11 minutes & 5.9 kms

Moorabbin Train station is 9 minutes & 4.3 kms

IS THERE PARKING NEARBY?

Yes. There is ample parking outside the front of SRS Deluxe Rehearsal Studios (91 Cochranes Road, Moorabbin, VIC, 3189) that is free all day. On the rare occasion that the car-park is full, there are plenty of parking spots available on Cochranes Road and surrounding streets that range from 2 to 4 hours (all free of charge).

DOES IT COST TO HAVE A CONSULTATION?

Nope! Consultations to go over the details of your project with us are always free. Please call us on 0417 576 460 to arrange a suitable time.

BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

CAN I GET A TOUR OF THE STUDIO?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it! We give tours by appointment only so give us a call at 0417 576 460 so we can schedule it for you 🙂

I WANT TO RECORD A SONG. WHERE DO I START?

Awesome! To begin the process, give us a call at 0417 576 460  so we can discuss your project with you in greater detail. Or, you can fill out this contact form and we will get back to you within 24 hours to either set up a consultation, tour or give you a quote 😊 

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

When it comes to booking a session, give us a call at 0417 576 460 to go over studio/engineer availability. To book the session, we require a 50% deposit which secures your time on the schedule. We accept cash, credit card, or PayPal.

DO YOU HAVE SPECIALS OR PACKAGES?

We do offer discounts, specials and giveaways. The best way to stay “in the know” and take advantage of our sweet deals is by subscribing to our Email List and following us on Instagram Facebook. We send out emails 2-3 times a month and we post daily on social media.

WHY DON'T YOU LIST YOUR STUDIO RATES?

We have standard hourly rates for each of our studios. We do not list them as we tailor every quote to exactly what the artist is looking for which can actually save them time and money. To inquire about our hourly rates and block specials, give us a call at 0417 576 460 or send us a message HERE and we will be happy to review your options. 

CAN I PAY THE DAY OF THE SESSION?

Yes, however, we require a 50% deposit 48hours prior to your session to secure your time on the schedule for the studio and for the engineer.  You can pay the balance at the half way mark for sessions over 3 days.

Please Note: If you are booking a 1 – 3 day booking we require full payment before the session is added to the studio calendar.

I NEED TO RESCHEDULE. HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS?

We need a minimum of 7 days in advance if you need to reschedule, subject to availability.  This is due to the length of time required to re-book the Studio and the Engineer to another client.

I'M GOING TO BE LATE TO MY SESSION. WILL THE ENGINEER ALLOW ME TO MAKE UP MY TIME?

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose sessions follow yours. 

Depending upon how late you arrive, your engineer will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start the session. Out of respect and consideration to your engineer and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.

DO YOU HAVE EQUIPMENT & INSTRUMENTS AVAILABLE AS WELL?

Yes we have an extensive assortment of in-house professional equipment & instruments. If we don’t have it we can get it for you from a third party at their regular market hire cost.

I'M NEW TO STUDIO RECORDING! HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A RECORDING SESSION?

Great news, welcome to the Recording Industry! There’s SO much we could list here but here are our 5 ESSENTIAL Tips on preparing for a recording session:

  • Pre-Production is VITAL so make sure you practice the song(s) you plan to record as a band or solo artist MULTIPLE times before booking a session
  • As with above, make sure all lyrics are MEMORISED well in advance
  • Plan a SESSION AGENDA for each day of recording. This includes allowing time for mic’ing up instruments, planning an appropriate schedule around each member’s capabilities, the difficulty of playing the music itself etc. This can all be discussed over your initial consultation
  • Service your equipment WELL IN ADVANCE to get the best quality sound on during recording
  • Anything you’re uncertain of, make sure to mention or ask over your initial consultation so your session runs as smoothly as possible!
